Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Program Manager of the Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) program, to be the approval point for Performance Requirements Summary (PRS) in accordance with the Performance Plan, AFMAN 64‑108 and the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and to create, modify, and implement Statement of Work (SOW) and perform monitoring in support of contracts in the Vehicle Management Flight and Vehicle Operations Flight.

Duties

(35%) Ensures functional areas within logistics support within a unified program for providing complete logistics support. Plans and schedules delivery of items and services to ensure sufficient time is allowed to meet preset deadlines.
(25%) Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives.
(20%) Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.
(20%) Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance‑based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.

Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
