Radiologic Technologist

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in Imaging Services and assist in the performance of other duties. Employee promotes service excellence. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality radiographs, CT, MRI or Ultrasound of all parts of the body for interpretation by the Radiologist. This includes taking radiographs, CT, MRI or Ultrasounds in the O.R., on the patient floors, and in the Emergency Room.

Knowledge of operating all radiographic equipment including portables and C-arms, the PACS system, and scheduling module. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications:

Education & Training:
High School graduate required. Actively enrolled as a student of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (24 month), Ultrasound, CT or MRI.

Experience:

Minimum one (1) year as an imaging student (in the program(s) listed above). Competent in performing routine radiological, CT, MRI or Ultrasound procedures.

Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of standard radiographic equipment and supplies. Functional when using digital fluoroscopy. Functional in portable units. Functional when using c-arm equipment.
