About the Opportunity:

Compass Medical Provider (CMP) is hiring Medical Case Managers to support the Aerospace and Operational Medicine Division within the Office of the Command Surgeon at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (HQ AFRC SG). You'll be part of a small on-site team that keeps the Air Force Reserve's medical waiver and case-processing engine running for a force of roughly 70,000 Reservists across 69 units and three numbered Air Forces.

This is administrative case management — not clinical care. Your job is to receive, review, track, and correctly process the medical documentation that lets Air Force providers adjudicate waivers and keep Airmen deployable. Accuracy and follow-through matter here: the cases you touch decide whether a Reservist stays "Ready Now."

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, track, and review medical documentation (histories, provider findings) to confirm case files are complete and ready for provider adjudication.

Enter and update case status across Air Force and DoD systems of record —
** AIMWTS, ECT, PEPP, MEDXS/ASIMS**, and PSC tracking — keeping every record current as case status changes.

- Load cases, complete technician-level front- and back-end inputs, and track each case through the full review process.

Coordinate scheduling and evaluations with the Aeromedical Consult Service (ACS), military treatment facilities, and civilian providers, including IFC/MFS appointments.

Give day-to-day guidance to reserve medical units on incomplete or questionable cases; return calls within two duty days and answer member and unit questions clearly.

Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, correspondence, and adjudication memoranda; compile final dispositions and mail-outs to members.

Support the division's periodic training courses and monthly reporting.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience processing and managing physical exams and medical standards — through a military medical environment (e.g., USAF Physical Examination Section/PES)
** or
* * an equivalent civilian aeromedical, occupational health, or disability evaluation setting.

Proficiency with — or the clear ability to quickly learn — Air Force/DoD medical systems such as AIMWTS, PEPP, PHA programs, Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV), and MICT.Working knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding; solid grasp of anatomy, physiology, and basic emergency care concepts.

Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate complex medical and administrative instructions into plain language for service members.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PDF software; accurate typing on both QWERTY and 10-key.

Able to work independently with strong time-management and prioritization skills.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable
** Tier 1 (NACI)
** background investigation.

Preferred Familiarity with the Aeromedical Waiver Guide (AMWG) and the Medical Standards Directory (MSD), and with retention, flying-class, and special operational duty  knowledge of Line of Duty (LOD) determinations and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) processes.

Prior experience supporting Air Force, Air Force Reserve, or Army National Guard medical readiness programs.
