Job Summary

IMI is seeking a full-time on-site Human Resources Manager for our Watkinsville, GA office.

Essential Functions

The Human Resources Manager acts as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and oversees the full spectrum of workforce operations. This position requires discretion to work with confidential and sensitive issues.

  • Executive Partnership:
    Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with industrial business goals.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Legal Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to employment laws, DOT regulations, and industry standards.
  • Employee Relations:
    Resolve complex personnel issues and conduct internal investigations discreetly.
  • Safety & Workers' Comp:
    Collaborate with safety team to manage claims and support field risk mitigation. Maintain accurate documentation of incident reports.
  • Benefits & Compensation:

    Oversee wage structures, performance reviews, and benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Policy Management:
    Develop and enforce company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Workforce Retention:
    Drive engagement, training, and conflict resolution to reduce turnover.
  • HRIS & Payroll Support:
    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employees, compliance activities and corrective actions.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    Manage offboarding, terminations, and legal compliance regarding exits.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to Human Resources.
  • Minimum of five years' work experience in a human resources capacity.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of human resources; including pertinent local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Discretion to work with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Experience developing corporate compensation and benefit plans.
  • Experience and desire to build a service-oriented environment; utilize conflict management skills and effectively resolve controversial issues.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to non-routine problems, master new concepts quickly and efficiently, and need to the ability to turn concepts into practical applications.
  • Must be able to multitask, as well as prioritize tasks within a strict deadline, while still being detail oriented.
  • Advanced skill level for operating Microsoft Office required.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard office equipment
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds
