ResponsibilitiesLead all stages of Workday project delivery, from assembly of project teams, assignment of responsibilities, enforcement of accountability, to budget and schedule management.
Maintain project documentation and metrics; work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project leads and operations teams.
Manage project scope, schedule, roles, responsibilities, and costs, ensuring alignment with change control procedures and securing necessary approvals.
Oversee resource allocation, monitor and control project work, track performance against plan and budget, identify and correct variances.
Serve as the primary client relationship executor, promoting team engagement and ensuring effective communication.
Represent the organization to customers, customers’ partners, and other external sources. Liaise with Workday on project status updates, Delivery Assurance checkpoints, product gap reporting and other processes.
Manage contracts and close contractual obligations, including final acceptance, end‑of‑project survey, and lessons learned documentation.
Guide and motivate the Alight project team, facilitate effective teamwork, and ensure clear vision, expectations and milestones.
Contribute to practice building initiatives, share lessons learned and best practices, and improve deployment methodology where appropriate.
Plan and execute Knowledge Transfer with Lead Consultants to enable client self‑sufficiency post go‑live. Measure customer satisfaction at project completion.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Computer Science, Finance or a relevant field.
5 to 7+ years of program/project management experience in scope and requirements definition, problem‑solving, and process improvements in internet‑based technology environments.
Experience leading implementations of Workday, People Soft, Oracle, SAP or similar applications.
Experience in technical and cross‑functional projects, with functional/technical HCM, Payroll and Financials deployment experience.
Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment.
Workday Project Management Certification preferred.
Additional InformationTravel up to 50%. No sponsorship offered. If not already certified, must pass Workday HCM and/or Financials Core and PM training classes and retain Workday certification.
