FTS, in collaboration with a leading client in the Financial Services Industry, is seeking a talented and motivated Manager of People Technology to join their in‑house team. This candidate will lead the strategy, optimisation, and delivery of its HR technology ecosystem. This role partners closely with senior leadership to define the long‑term roadmap, drive automation and scalability, and enhance the overall employee experience through effective system design and execution.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday, strong leadership capability, and a hands‑on approach to delivering complex technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own the strategic direction and multi‑year roadmap for the organization’s HR technology platforms, with emphasis on scalability, automation, and user experience
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for Workday, providing technical guidance, solution design, and continuous improvement recommendations
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to understand objectives and translate needs into clearly scoped technology initiatives, timelines, and success metrics
  • Evaluate and onboard new HR systems and integrations, ensuring alignment with security, data architecture, compliance, and long‑term platform strategy
  • Lead system configuration, enhancements, and optimisation across the Workday ecosystem to improve operational efficiency and end‑user adoption
  • Oversee system governance, audit controls, testing protocols, and ongoing platform reliability
  • Manage project delivery including planning, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and resource coordination
  • Drive hands‑on execution of system implementations and enhancements while ensuring quality, usability, and budget adherence
  • Lead integrations of new Workday modules and complementary HR technologies as the organization grows or evolves
  • Partner with change management stakeholders to support user readiness, communications, training, and process updates
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing People Technology team through coaching, prioritisation, and performance management
  • Coordinate cross‑functional testing and validation to ensure system functionality meets business requirements and performs as expected
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners to ensure delivery standards and value alignment
Skillsets
  • Strong expertise configuring, implementing, or supporting Workday in a complex enterprise environment
  • Broad understanding of multiple Workday modules and how they interact across upstream and downstream systems
  • Ability to evaluate technical architecture, integrations, data flows, and security considerations
  • Proven project leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution
  • Experience operating in environments requiring governance, compliance, and audit readiness
Qualifications
  • Background supporting HR business processes and translating operational requirements into Workday solutions
  • Experience with vendor management, HR data management, and large‑scale system initiatives
  • Prior involvement supporting mergers, acquisitions, or major organisational transitions within a Workday environment
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical or functional teams preferred
  • Workday certifications are a plus
