The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG - Kaiser Permanente) is excited to announce a new opening for Senior Manager, Business Intelligence Analytics
.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence Analytics will lead one of TSPMG’s Business Intelligence Centers of Excellence, supporting areas such as Access & Member Experience, Hospital Operations, Clinical Operations, Quality, or Regulatory Reporting. This leader will oversee a team of analytics professionals and drive the development of data‑driven solutions that support strategic decision‑making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, advanced analytics expertise, and healthcare industry knowledge to deliver actionable insights, optimize reporting capabilities, and influence operational and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing Business Intelligence Analytics team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and talent development.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable analytics initiatives and ensure successful execution of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and automation of reporting and business intelligence solutions.
  • Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify business needs, define performance measures, and develop analytics strategies.
  • Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and meaningful data visualizations, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Guide the interpretation and presentation of complex data findings to support executive decision‑making.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards, governance practices, and data integrity processes.
  • Lead data collection, integration, and preparation efforts to support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and validation of analytical methodologies, algorithms, predictive models, and key performance metrics.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for complex statistical and analytical projects.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop direct reports, including Business Intelligence Analytics Consultants.
  • Conduct hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and employee development activities.
  • Drive employee engagement, accountability, and productivity.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare or medical analytics experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of statistical consulting experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of statistical modeling experience using SAS, R, or other advanced statistical tools.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with or without direct reports.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and successfully deliver high‑priority initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Clarity or Cogito certification.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Python, and R.
  • Knowledge of healthcare analytics, particularly within Clinical Operations, Hospital Operations, Member Experience, or Quality programs.
