Artificial Intelligence Scientist

About The Role:

Carrier is seeking a technical lead for the development and deployment of Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies and toolset across Carrier. As an AI engineer lead you will (i) Lead the development and deployment of machine learning and artificial intelligence technology, methods, standards and toolset. (ii) Develop and execute the overall ML/AI strategy & roadmap, provide support and guidance to various technical teams, and develop and promote common work practices.

• Solid background in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning techniques and deployment and cloud-based computing
• Extensive experience in machine learning algorithms (classification, regression, forecasting, clustering and reinforcement learning), AI techniques (Generative AI, probabilistic reasoning, natural language processing, and computer vision), statistical analysis (including uncertainty analysis) and signals processing
• Hands‑on experience in fine‑tuning and deploying Generative AI models (specially for text and code generation)
• Hands‑on experience in Reinforcement Learning algorithm development and deployment.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (including Tensor Flow, PyTorch and sckit‑learn)
• Experience in cloud computing (AWS and Azure) and edge analytics
• Experience in development and deployment of end‑to‑end analytics solution in digital platforms for aftermarket or sales or new product development
• Strong knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools
• Experience in Agile methodology for software development.
• Application experience in HVAC and Refrigerating product preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in leading teams working on machine learning and AI technology projects.
• Experience in model-based methods, system controls, simulation of physics based models is a plus

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science or computer engineering or electrical engineering or related field, with 5+ years of data analytics/Machine learning/ Artificial Intelligence experience.
