Network Systems Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a Network Systems Administrator to support the Network Systems Directorate. The successful incumbent will perform server technical support functions for organizational and program management activities under the supervision of the Manager, Network Systems.

• Resolve problems regarding Windows and Linux server operating systems, application software, and hardware operation.
• Manage prescribed server disaster recovery schemes, system capacity planning, and user data management.
• Set up servers and ensure proper installation and configuration of hardware, tape libraries, disk arrays, and operating systems.
• Maintain updated server and network infrastructure software, bios, and firmware.
• Manage server and PC system patch update schedules and corrective action.
• Maintain and perform problem resolution of Windows Active Directory structure.
• Configure Active Directory Group Policy.
• Assist with the implementation of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171/CMMC security baseline related to PCs, servers, networks, routers, GCC High and firewalls.
• Apply security baselines using tools such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) or CIS, scan and maintain records of findings, corrective actions taken, and reporting.
• Develop documentation, processes, and procedures related to NIST 800-171/CMMC compliance as related to oversight area(s).
• Maintain up-to-date network drawings and assist in the maintenance of a five-year life cycle plan.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of servers and network systems assets.
• Coordinate major hardware or software resolution with vendors.
• Assist in the management and configuration of network switches.
• Research new network technology architectures and plans; execute new deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Work within the team to assist in the configuration of network firewalls, routers, firewall threat prevention, URL filtering and VPN configurations.
• Assist the team in the configuration of cloud environments.
• Develop process improvements to meet business needs and CMMC controls.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for network operations.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution and 2 years of directly related experience; or an associate's degree and 4 years of directly related experience; or a high school diploma and 6 years of directly related experience.
• Experience with NIST 800-171 and continuous monitoring.
• Demonstrated technical experience with Windows server computer hardware, operating systems, and application software, including Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Cloud, CAD Application Suites, and server configurations.
• Ability to install, repair, and troubleshoot server hardware, software, peripheral devices, disk arrays, and tape libraries.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Service oriented and able to communicate and interface with users, peers, and vendors.
• Ability to conduct research into server issues and products as required.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
