Acquisition Logistician, Journeyman

ARS is seeking an Acquisition Logistician, Journeyman to support the C-130 Hercules program at Robins AFB, GA. Provide acquisition logistics and life cycle sustainment support for the C-130 Hercules program. Support the Program Manager (PM), Product Support Manager (PSM), and Integrated Logistics Support activities throughout the weapon system life cycle, including acquisition, production, fielding, sustainment, and post-production support. Analyze logistics, maintenance, supply, technical, acquisition, and financial data to support program decisions, readiness objectives, and long-term weapon system supportability.

Assist in developing and maintaining logistics and product support strategies, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), post-production support documentation, and related program documentation. Coordinate logistics elements including supply support, spares, support equipment, maintenance planning, technical data, facilities, training, provisioning, and Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T). Support analyses involving Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Cost (RAM-C), life cycle cost, sustainment risk, supportability, and readiness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support planning, development, implementation, and management of comprehensive life cycle logistics and product support strategies for the C-130 program.
  • Assist the PM and PSM with Total Life Cycle Systems Management and Integrated Logistics Support activities across acquisition and sustainment phases.
  • Coordinate logistics elements including supply support, spares, support equipment, maintenance planning, technical data, training, facilities, provisioning, and PHS&T.
  • Develop, review, and maintain logistics documentation including LCSPs, ILSPs, Technical Orders, technical manuals, CDRLs, program plans, support agreements, and related acquisition documentation.
  • Conduct logistics and supportability analyses involving readiness, manpower, spares, cost, life cycle supportability, DMSMS, RAM-C, and sustainment risk.
  • Support acquisition and management of Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Property (GFE/GFP), including cost analysis, budgeting, procurement documentation, asset availability, and support planning.
  • Analyze supply, maintenance, acquisition, logistics, and financial data to identify deficiencies, assess program impacts, and recommend corrective actions or mitigation strategies.
  • Support maintenance planning, Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP), provisioning, depot activation, post-production support, and weapon system modification activities.
  • Participate in program management reviews, logistics meetings, site surveys, technical reviews, conferences, and other program activities; prepare status, decision, and presentation materials as required.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve weapon system readiness, reduce total ownership cost, and improve long-term sustainment and supportability.

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Journeyman-level knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to independently perform tasks within acquisition logistics, life cycle logistics, integrated logistics support, or a related technical/professional discipline.
  • Ability to independently apply established logistics procedures and processes, troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and develop successful outcomes within established program guidelines.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) with 10+ years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including at least 3 years of DoD experience; OR 10+ years of project assistance, administrative assistance, or similar experience in the public, military, nonprofit, or private sectors; OR 15+ years of directly related experience with applicable certifications, including at least 5 years of DoD experience.
  • Possess an active Secret clearance.
