Summary and relationship to the curriculum:
All classified positions will strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the system mission statement. This position keeps building in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office space.
• Cleans carpet, cleans bathrooms, grounds, parking lots, and windows, and AC/heating vents.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Maintains building.
• Set up and take down for school activities.
• Supplies and resupplies materials for restrooms.
• Changes light bulbs.
• Notifies principal concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cleans sand and debris from sidewalks.
• Monitors the use and amount of supplies and orders supplies when necessary.
• Monitors/maintains limits on spending related to custodial budget.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  High school education or GED preferred. One month related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
