The primary purpose or this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authority over the Workforce Development Section in the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex. Serves as the single point of contact for training matters affecting Complex maintenance personnel. Responsible for the development, execution and compliance of depot maintenance training programs and policies to enable a skilled, well-trained, qualified, certified, safe and healthy civilian and military workforce.
Duties- DUTY 1:
Exercises 2nd level (or higher) technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more during duty time over subordinate employees predominately in the General Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services Group and journey level or higher through subordinate supervisors/leads. - DUTY 2:
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Plans management workload to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. - DUTY 3:
Leads or participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Institutionalizes AFSC Art of the Possible methodologies to identify constraints, streamline processes and increase throughput. Identifies the need for special projects, defines objectives and goals, and tracks milestones to project completion. - DUTY 4:
Represents the organization with a variety of organizations inclusive of, but not limited to, Center, installation, functional, private industry (e.g. training institutes/colleges) and community organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Skills and Abilities
- Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a medium to large sized organization.
- Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
- Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
Position Requirements
