Race Trac Company Overview

The Distribution Center Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and assisting with all general warehouse duties within the Race Trac Distributing Distribution Center. This individual assists the Distribution Center Management team in managing various warehouse functions including, but not limited to receiving product from vendors, auditing store orders, coding product, and maintaining the facility. The Team Lead oversees a team of associates responsible for carrying out all warehouse duties.

Pay: $20 per hour

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Access

• Provide leadership and support to Race Trac Distributing initiatives to ultimately produce lower costs through efficient distribution and warehouse management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports so that their work aligns with overall warehouse goals.
• Appraise employees’ productivity and efficiency, recommending changes in status and communicating information to DC management.
• Carry out general warehouse support functions, including vendor receiving; audit store orders; code dating products; cycle count; schedule delivery appointments.
• Ensure product integrity by checking food temperatures and following the FEFO process.
• Document and communicate all issues with vendors to the Distribution Center Manager.
• Serve as a point of contact for conflict management of associates for escalated issues.
• Possess the physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, reach up to 72 inches, bend, stand, and reach while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelves.
• Work rapidly at a constant pace throughout the shift in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work a flexible schedule, including varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays.
