Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Program Manager 1 to become part of the Test Equipment Solution Program Management team at our Warner Robins, Ga location. This position will be responsible for all phases of the program from inception through completion. Program performance includes: P&L, schedule, performance, customer relationships, and forecasting.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Managing all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout).
  • Developing new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and the development of proposals and business plans.
  • Building a collaborative relationship between the program office and functional areas.
  • Acting as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting "on time delivery" metrics and trends against program contractual requirements and commitments.
  • Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
  • Managing special projects focused on improving operational effectiveness.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert amongst our customer community soliciting feedback, deriving requirements, providing input and implementing lessons learned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of related experience supporting Government contracts and/or project management in other industries. Will also consider Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Business or other relevant degree and 5 years related experience, or Master's with 3 years related experience supporting Government contracts and/or project management in other industries.
  • Experience with Repairs, Spares, DMS resolution, product modification and Build to Print Production.
  • Demonstrated experience with Estimates at Completion (EAC).
  • Experience coordinating among cross-functional teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Exceptionally Proficient with Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret clearance.
  • Must have strong skills with Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • Must have strong technical skills (Master the product structure of the deliverables the program is responsible for)

NGSkills Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $ The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
