Position Overview
Title: Membership Engagement (Assimilation) Director
Division: Discipleship, Evangelism & Missions
Reports To: Discipleship Division Director
Position Type: Paid Staff (Full-Time)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Direct Reports: Membership Engagement / Discipleship Coordinator;
Decision Counseling Team
The Membership Engagement Director provides strategic leadership for the systems, teams, and relationships that help individuals connect with God, one another, and their God-given purpose. This role owns the vision and oversight of the church's assimilation pathway, guiding new and unchurched individuals into full, growing membership and discipleship. It is a position of influence and leadership that calls for innovative thinking, team building, and a genuine passion for connecting people both online and in person.
Exceptional relational, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a strong work and ministry ethic marked by a commitment to quality.
The Director oversees the environments where many first-time guests and new members have their earliest experiences of EBC, maximizing both online and in-person touchpoints to reach and minister to the greatest number of people. While the Membership Engagement / Discipleship Coordinator oversees the Division's daily administrative and database operations, the Director sets strategy, shepherds people, and leads the teams that carry the work forward.
Scopeof Responsibility
The Membership Engagement Director oversees all aspects of membership across the church: strategic planning, member engagement, retention, and the overall growth and health of the member base. A successful Director enhances the member experience, develops innovative membership programs, and ensures that the church's membership and discipleship goals are met. The role blends strategic vision, excellent communication, and a deep passion for community building, serving as a primary relational bridge between the church and its members.

- Spiritual Gifts:
Administration, Evangelism, Teaching, Pastoral Ministry, and Exhortation - College degree and 3–5 years of ministry experience required
- Passionate about efficiency and excellence in ministry
- Committed to leading people to Christ and aiding others in their spiritual growth
- Personally committed to maintaining a moral and spiritual lifestyle as outlined in Scripture
- Willing to work harmoniously with elders, ministries, support staff, and fellow ministry leaders
- Engaged in regular study of God's Word and committed to making disciples who make disciples
- Dedicated to continuous personal, professional, and spiritual growth
