Job Title: Tool/Mold Technician

As a Tool/Mold Technician, you will be responsible for process changes and high level mold maintenance for processing/production. Preventive and reactive maintenance for molds and tools for injection molding machines. Mold maintenance ranging from disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly to metal fabrication and welding for repairs and quality assurance to replacing components of molds like ejector pins, sprues, cavities, cores, plates, heating elements, etc.

• Mold, tool, and/or die maintenance
• Welding
• Metal fabrication - grinding, filing, finishing, lathe, mill, cutting torch, etc.
• Experience with injection molding preferred

Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months.

Fully on-site position in Dalton, GA.

The work environment is clean and partially climate-controlled, but can get hot during the summer, often about 10 degrees hotter than outside temperature. Nice facility and equipment. Busy, hectic work environment for the first couple months as a production ramp-up for a new contract; should be less chaotic after fully staffed and production up to speed.

$32-$40/hr, depending on experience.

All 3 shifts available; 10-12 hour shifts for the first few months, then 8-10 hour shifts after production levels are met.

Typical schedule Monday-Friday with overtime on most Saturdays and on Sundays as needed. Working a lot of overtime for the first couple months as a production ramp-up;
Saturdays for those months.

Probably about 70 hours for the first few months, then around 55 hours per week once production levels are met.
