Support Engineering Data Specialist

Supports developing, analyzing, collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations. Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem. Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports.

Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type. Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components. Supports reviewing aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.

Develops all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple subsystems, including theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal and installation procedures, and schematic diagrams.

Resolves source data gaps and inconsistencies with the originator. Provides art mark-ups. Updates publication elements based on internal/external reviews, source data changes, and equipment modifications. Collects, researches, and analyzes source data, including equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analysis documentation, workflows, and concept of design, to determine impact on technical publications. Identifies source data inaccuracies and takes corrective action. Validates source data assumptions.

Conducts peer reviews of completed publication elements for overall technical accuracy and adherence to customer format standards and specifications. Supports customer verification reviews and takes corrective actions based on outcomes.

Skills required include the ability to use MS Office products, familiarity with eXtensible Markup Language (XML), and familiarity with Contenta.

Required:

Experience with eXtensible Markup Language (XML). At least 5 years of related experience.

Preferred:
Familiarity with Contenta.

Education/experience typically acquired through an advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s + 1 year, 7 years, etc.).
