BASIC
PURPOSE:
The Associate Engineer supports the Product Management team in driving the success of assigned products. This role focuses on learning the product portfolio, supporting sales and marketing activities, assisting with analysis, and contributing to the execution of product strategies.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
PRODUCT STRATEGY & PLANNING- Supports the development and execution of product plans to drive growth in assigned product lines
- Assists with market and competitor research; compiles findings to support strategy decisions
- Helps track bookings, sales performance, and forecasts; maintains reporting dashboards
- Supports pricing analysis and updates under guidance from Sr Product Manager
- Assists in developing product positioning and reviewing marketing collateral for technical accuracy
- Contributes to creation of sales tools, presentations, and training materials
- Supports trade show preparation and participation as needed
- Works with sales teams to answer basic product questions and escalate more complex issues
- Helps deliver product training to internal and external teams alongside Sr Product Manager
- Serves as a secondary point of contact for product-related inquiries
- Assists with product selection and configuration guidance
- Supports resolution of customer issues in collaboration with senior team members
- Coordinates with Engineering and Operations to help resolve order or product-related issues
- Collects and organizes customer feedback to support product improvements
- Assists with new product development activities, including tesg, documentation, and launch preparation
- Helps execute product launches, updates, and discontinuation activities
- Maintains product documentation and internal knowledge resources
- Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred)
- 0–3 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or product-related role
- Strong interest in product management, sales, and industrial markets
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is a plus
- Basic understanding of engineering and manufacturing concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
