Selector Packer

Job Summary:

Visually examine and/or gauge glassware and pack in cartons or attend automatic equipment to ensure conformance to specifications. Hold ware back or stop the line if not visually inspecting the ware. Pack acceptable ware in cartons and may have to install required internal packaging requirements. Responsible for unjamming and restarting all automatic inspection equipment. Also check for partition damage from automatic case packer.

• Place ware off or on lines as necessary.
• Un-jam equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers as necessary.
• Prepare paperwork such as production tally sheets.
• Perform other work as assigned by the Supervisor and may work in other departments as needed.
