Registered Nurse

Under limited to broad supervision, the nurse will conduct psychiatric assessments, assess physical health needs, make appropriate referrals to community physicians, provide management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist, and deliver a wide range of treatment, rehabilitation and support services. The nurse will share shift management responsibilities with other staff and participate in the provision of treatment, rehabilitation and support services.

A current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing. Candidates must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences, work in job markets, and have access to helpful, adequate, competent and continuous support services. Candidates must demonstrate the skills and ability to establish supportive, trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect client rights and personal preference in treatment.

A valid driver’s license is required; candidates must not have more than two chargeable accidents, moving violations or DUI’s in a three‑year period per the seven‑year MVR report.

• A pre‑employment physical examination
