Under limited supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, provide advanced practice nursing services in a health department setting requiring independent clinical judgment. Deliver comprehensive health department services including Women’s Health, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) management, PrEP, immunizations, tuberculosis, diabetes and hypertension management, as well as other public health services such as Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and child health.

Assess clients, perform examinations, develop and implement plans of care, and order, prescribe, and manage treatment within scope of licensure. Adhere to public health protocols for vaccine administration, specimen collection, documentation, and compliance with safety and HIPAA standards. Services are provided throughout the Southeast Health District and require travel to multiple clinic locations to support district‑wide operations, outreach initiatives, and emergency response efforts.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and as an APRN, plus CPR certification.

• Public Health experience preferred.
• Women’s Health experience.

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary. Southeast Health District accepts educational credential recognized by CHEA and/or the U.S. Department of Education.
