Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric Acute Care

Full Time – Day Shift

• Perform nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence‑based practice.
• Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to population characteristics and cultural diversity.
• Conduct bedside shift reports, keep patients and significant others updated, and focus on patient goals.
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care and promote the professional care delivery model.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration while acting fiscally responsible and supporting recruitment and retention of health‑care team members.
• Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance at all system levels.
• Serve as preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff across disciplines.
• Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement; engage in value analysis for evaluating patient‑care products.
• Uphold all health‑care system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Collect data, pose relevant clinical questions, and engage in evidence‑based practice to plan patient care across the continuum.
• Develop protocols and procedures collaboratively to achieve best‑practice outcomes and efficient use of resources.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited nursing school (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient‑care nursing experience (Required).
• Regulated Nurse (Single State) license (Required).
• RN – Multi‑state Compact license (Required).
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness, composure, and respect.
