American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 18 months of L&D experience and an active GA or compact RN license.
Details- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Meditech charting system
- Required to float to other departments and facilities, including Perry Hospital, based on departmental rotation needs
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- 1.5+ years of overall RN experience with 18 months specifically in Labor & Delivery
- BLS (AHA) and NRP certification required to start
- Fetal Monitoring certification required to start
- ACLS certification preferred
- IV insertion skills required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide nursing care within the Labor & Delivery unit including fetal monitoring and IV insertion
- Interview process includes an interview with the Nurse Manager
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
- RTO requests not falling near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 5 days
- RTO requests falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 3 days, with only one holiday request allowed
- Candidates may only be submitted to one open position at a time
