Conduct and document routine plant safety inspections of production areas, yard operations, maintenance shops, and mobile equipment to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, and regulatory compliance gaps. Bring findings to plant leadership.
Mobile Equipment Safety MonitoringAssist with mobile equipment safety monitoring (forklifts, cranes, loaders, yard trucks).
Incident Reporting and InvestigationAssist in the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, property damage, and injuries to gather facts, conduct interviews, and document findings for root‑cause determination and preventive actions.
Safety Compliance and Regulatory SupportMaintain compliance with applicable safety regulations, including OSHA standards, by keeping Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety records current.
Safety Training and Employee EngagementAssist with new‑employee safety orientation, training, and toolbox talks. Reinforce safe work practices and proper PPE usage on the production floor.
Documentation and RecordkeepingMaintain safety files, training records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
PPE and Safety Equipment ManagementInspect safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, emergency equipment, and fall protection equipment.
Support Safety Programs and InitiativesParticipate in safety committee meetings.
EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.
ExperienceEntry‑level position: 1–2 years of safety experience preferred but not required. Manufacturing, construction, or industrial experience preferred.

- Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Climb ladders and access elevated work areas
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, high‑visibility vest, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves
The employee is regularly exposed to an office environment but will be required periodically to work in the plant/field environment that includes noise, dirt, heat, cold, oil, fumes, and other elements. Time spent in office is approximately 50% and plant/field 50%.
