Job Overview
The Selling Lead drives personal, department, and storewide results by building genuine team and customer relationships, connecting customers with product, and creating memorable experiences. The role supports driving sales and store key metric performance, providing excellent customer service, executing successful events, and maintaining merchandise presentations. The Selling Lead works collaboratively with store operations teams to ensure service excellence and achieve store objectives.
This is an hourly position with monthly bonus eligibility and requires a minimum age of 16.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative to achieve store objectives and personal key metrics.
- Support the team in executing customer outreach, clienteling, and event initiatives.
- Greet, engage, and assist customers warmly, providing personalized service and enhancing their shopping experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism, promptness, and care.
- Enhance team selling behaviors and key metric performance by communicating daily goals, leading by example, assisting with onboarding, initiating teaching opportunities, and supporting associate continued learning.
- Leverage selling tools and digital devices to provide customers with a seamless omnichannel experience.
- Maintain current company policy and procedure knowledge and communicate accurately to the team.
- Keep the team well-informed of products, promotions, contests, and store events.
- Champion associate engagement, celebrating team successes and achievements.
- Foster a positive store culture, ensuring team members understand their role in achieving store goals and feel valued.
- Maintain visually appealing selling areas, merchandise presentation standards, accurate signage, fitting rooms, and cleanliness through daily store recovery and stock replenishment.
- Ensure presentations align with visual merchandising directives and brand standards.
- Lead store fulfillment and asset protection initiatives in designated areas, executing omni and operations processes, maintaining product protection standards, and adhering to safety guidelines and security protocols.
- 1+ years of retail experience.
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.
- Must bend, reach, stretch for product, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to use data, guidance, and judgement for timely and effective decisions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to teach, partner, and encourage others.
- Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers, and Windows‑based operating systems.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to store success.
- Commitment to continuously learning and improving skills.
