Position Overview
The Sr. Sales Leader – Growth Driver is a water‑treatment sales position focused on expanding business and advancing Chem Treat’s market position within a specified geography or industry. The successful candidate will lead the design, improvement, and execution of innovative sales strategies to increase share within the assigned market segment.
Key Responsibilities- Familiarity with chemical water treatment systems and applications.
- Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.
- Increase sales and profits by meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
- Retain existing customer base through the Chem Treat value certification program and by earning return on investment, while actively generating new accounts.
- Develop key relationships with customers by engaging decision makers, prospecting, cold‑calling, frequent follow‑up, strategic questioning, and root‑cause analysis of customer needs.
- Prospect and cold‑call new customers.
- Create and present effective proposals to prospective customers.
- Communicate the Chem Treat value proposition to prospects.
- Assist in transitioning new business to the account‑management team when applicable.
- Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with Chem Treat’s entertainment policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Self‑motivated with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools.
- Industry knowledge specific to water treatment.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical degree (or equivalent). Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience and 7+ years of successful water‑treatment related experience.
Physical DemandsTravel dependent on size of assigned territory. Long hours and varied work schedules may be required. Physical tasks include sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, balance, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling objects, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 60 pounds, and occasionally driving short or long distances within DOT regulations.
Working Conditions & EnvironmentRequired to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) during deliveries, including eye, hearing, and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel‑toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Work may occur in high‑noise environments, hot conditions, or alongside hazardous chemicals. Sites may be indoor or outdoor, such as boiler houses, cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, or process areas.
Compensation & BenefitsThe first‑year total target compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 (USD) per year. The position offers uncapped variable earnings potential and is expected to increase each year in accordance with the plan terms. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
Employment StatusEmployment with Chem Treat is on an at‑will basis, meaning either the employee or Chem Treat can terminate the relationship at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, unless a written agreement is signed.
