Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will engage potential customers through outbound activity, create new sales opportunities, and build pipeline for the Account Management team. The SDR will work closely with a team of Sales Development Representatives and build strong partnerships with Senior Account Executives in a dedicated territory.

Essential Job Functions
  • Partner with sales team to create a target and action plan to drive new business in assigned markets.
  • Leverage outreach tools such as phone, email, and social platforms (Linked In) to develop interactions with potential customers.
  • Understand and effectively deliver the Trace3 value proposition to schedule meetings for Account Managers.
  • Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly metrics (meetings scheduled, opportunities created, etc.).
  • Generate interest from multiple client personas within target accounts.
  • Track sales activity in Net Suite and other sales automation tools such as Hub Spot.
  • Help achieve team revenue goals and objectives as defined by management.
  • Drive client and prospect attendance for marketing-sponsored events.
  • Meet or exceed monthly goals to maximize deal flow by qualifying inbound inquiries or leading outbound prospecting initiatives via emails, calls, and meetings.
  • Prospect for new business by developing an ideal customer profile, researching, and contacting companies and individuals that meet the criteria for prospective partnership.
  • Take initiative to help the marketing team convert their efforts into business opportunities.
  • Find and develop new leads and prospect sources.
  • Develop key partnerships and provide client support from the beginning to end of a transaction while maintaining a long-term relationship after closing.
  • Present benefits and options clearly to potential clients.
  • Utilize web-based technology and multi-task while managing a large pipeline.
  • Establish, develop, build, and maintain new relationships with partners to identify clients.
  • Promote and raise awareness of products, services, and industry trends.
  • Design, implement, and manage strategies for referral source market penetration.
  • Maintain frequency of contact daily, weekly, and monthly to meet sales activity quotas.
  • Generate qualified meetings and leads with prospective clients.
  • Work with account executives to generate leads and opportunities with prospective clients within an assigned territory or specific accounts.
  • Maintain all relevant information about clients, prospects, campaigns, and leads.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date data for all prospects, contacts, and accounts.
  • Lead workflow processes to directly impact sales generation.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of one year experience in client-facing roles (sales and/or customer service).
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles (sales and/or customer service).
  • Driven to make an impact and exceed goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales or administrative sales support with one or more years of related experience in the technology industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Team player who is self‑motivated, shows initiative, and anticipates and prevents issues through advanced problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn detailed information about products and services and articulate Trace3’s value to the customer while maximizing revenue and margin generation.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, excellent time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, and evolving work environment.
  • Comfortable meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong ability to operate independently.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
