Position DetailsFull‑Time Security Specialist, (NH-0080-03) at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR‑ALC) at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Georgia. 2026 Salary Range: $89,508.00‑$ per year (includes locality). Posting Open: 2/9/2026, Posting Close: 2/15/2026. This position is open exclusively to current federal employees Installation‑wide (Tinker, Hill, Robins). Applicants must submit an SF‑50 to verify eligibility; incomplete applications will not be forwarded.
Responsibilities- Administer the Industrial Security Program supporting DoD and SAF/AQ Special Access Programs (SAP).
- Exercise independent judgment for the Information Security Program supporting DoD and SAF/AQ SAPs.
- Implement, oversee and centrally control the SAP Personnel Security Program.
- Administer the Physical Security Programs, develop transportation plans for highly classified assets, and manage all security aspects of travel and storage.
Skills and Abilities
- In‑depth knowledge of SAP security concepts, programs and procedures to plan and implement security programs.
- Extensive knowledge of AFMC’s mission, functions and structure to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special program security concepts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives and procedures.
- Expert knowledge of GSA specifications, detection and surveillance systems, construction standards and automated data processing systems.
- Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to conduct surveys, projects and evaluate results.
- Skill in oral and written communication at various levels.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple program activities and tasks.
Position Requirements
- Position requires a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI and other sensitive compartmented information; a non‑disclosure agreement must be signed.
- Must obtain and maintain approval to access the required Special Access Programs.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations.
- This is a national security position.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required within 2 years of the employee’s end of date or initial assignment.
- Special Programs Security Credential (SPSC) is recommended.
