The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for Full‑Time Electrician (WG‑2805‑10) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR‑ALC) at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
  • Installs, repairs, or replaces, modifies, loads and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures.
  • Troubleshoots problem areas and inspects for defective equipment and faulty wiring. Works from building plans, blueprints, written diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to determine the necessary and proper repairs and/or replacements.
  • Uses and maintains various types of hand and/or power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, soldering irons, cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines.
  • Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing.
  • Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services. Actively supports and participates in Lean events applicable or related to assigned duties. Complies with safety and security regulations to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of technical practices in order to plan, lay out, install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of complete systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and instruments used in shop and trade practices, and of electrical equipment, i.e., test amps, multimeters, circuit analyzers, circuit breaker testers, voltage recording meters, meggers, watt meters, ohmeters, and ammeters.
  • Skill in using and maintaining hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, strippers, cable pullers, drills, soldering irons, and manual or power conduit benders and threaders.
  • Skill in troubleshooting and tracing hard‑to‑locate defects or problems.
  • Ability to use electrical drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment without more than normal supervision.
  • Skill in working 400 Hz, 60 Hz, 120/208 V and 277/480 V electrical systems.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • This is a designated drug‑testing position.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical (if applicable).
  • Must submit the most recent SF‑50 to verify eligibility.
