Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair of Walmart facilities’ refrigeration and HVAC equipment, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, and power tools.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart safety and environmental policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move via ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and relevant experience as specified in the posting.
• Evidence of full vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines or medical/religious accommodation.

• Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
