About this Role
We are hiring a skilled and versatile Rental Generator Technician to join our team, focusing on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of our rental generator and HVAC systems. This is a dynamic role that requires a blend of mechanical expertise, logistical coordination, and a commitment to high‑quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Service, troubleshoot, and clean rental generator equipment.
- Maintain, service, and set up rental systems.
- Maintain accurate field service reports including refrigerant tracking logs and time‑keeping logs.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.
- Operate equipment including vehicles and forklifts.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Communicate in a professional manner with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.
- Perform other duties as needed, including general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, organizing, and general inventory counts to support the business.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of commercial generator, HVAC or diesel mechanic experience.
- Ability to acquire EPA Universal license within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on‑call and/or overtime as required to support the business.
- Travel requirement: 20% (domestic and international).
- Associate degree or generator/HVAC technical certification.
- Rental experience.
- Servicing, troubleshooting, and cleaning heating and cooling equipment and related products.
- Experience in Windows operating system, MS Outlook, and Internet Explorer or other web browsers.
- EPA 608 Universal certification.

The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 and $48.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
