We are now hiring a Lube Technician in Augusta, GA!
Transdev in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Lube Technician to bolster our team. This position will perform routine and some non‑routine maintenance work on vehicles which adheres to Transdev standards. As a Lube Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel‑powered assets.
Benefits- Competitive compensation package of minimum $16.00 – maximum $18.00 per hour
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers by performing limited repairs and basic maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, checking fluid levels, changing fluids and filters, and lubricating components.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs under moderate supervision.
- Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used, and complete work orders accurately.
- Order repair parts from designated suppliers and maintain parts usage records.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s), safety maintenance inspections, and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals.
- Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective actions taken.
- Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
- Adhere to Transdev standards, policies, and procedures.
- Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
- Repair and maintain all shop equipment.
- Clean vehicles as requested or required.
- Take on other responsibilities as requested or required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Beginner mechanical aptitude and 1 year of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
- Adherence to state DOT motor vehicle inspection and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintain it in a clean and safe manner.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs.
- Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance, and occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to items stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties.
- Tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship at this time.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
