• Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
• Respond to basic warranty calls

• Load system-level controller software
• Perform more complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation
• Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
• Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
• Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
• Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation
• Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
• Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field, or at least 3-5 years of industry experience, or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
• Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people; leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
• PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software

Hiring hourly range: $24.32 - $36.00. The hourly rate is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
