JOB SUMMARY
This position will demonstrate the skills needed to inspect, diagnose, and solve problems with machines or building operations; perform basic repairs and implement preventative measures to ensure equipment longevity and functionality.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Three years of general building maintenance experience.
- Prior Hospital experience a plus
- Must have High School diploma or GED. Course work or other appropriate trades training is highly desirable.
- Course work, training and demonstrated competency in at least three of these building trades:
- HVAC
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Framing and Carpentry
- CMMS systems
- Building Automation Systems
- Drywall replace, patch and repair
- Interior and Exterior Painting
- Flooring
- Window Operations and Repair
- Doors to include fire, smoke, and control
- Locking Mechanisms to include Electronic Access Control
- Mechanical Systems (Medical gases, vacuums…)
- Familiarity with tools
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
- Technical Proficiency
- Successful completion of Maintenance Technician II Competency Check Sheet within (90) days of hire
- Troubleshooting
- The ability to identify the root cause of problems, diagnose malfunctions, and develop effective solutions.
- Repair and Maintenance
- Performing routine maintenance tasks like lubricating, cleaning adjusting and replacing parts.

- Implementing strategies to prevent failures by performing scheduled maintenance tasks and inspections.

- Understanding and adhering to safety protocols and regulations when working with equipment, machinery, and tools.

- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
