About the RoleAs a Maintenance Supervisor
, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our properties remain a place our residents are proud to call home. You’ll be the go‑to expert for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical challenges while ensuring maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This role is perfect for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has a passion for their field, and loves working as part of a team. Your work will have a direct impact on the daily lives of our residents, helping us deliver the high standards of service Madison Communities is known for.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Plan and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring operations stay within financial guidelines.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop areas, with adequate levels of replacement parts and tools.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
- Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
- Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
- EPA Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required).
- Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a resident‑focused mindset.
