Job SummaryMust be a Journeyman Maintenance card holder, hold an AAS Degree in Electronics, or have 5 years of tradesman training. Candidates must also be able to pass required Math and Mechanical Comprehension testing.
Main Position Responsibilities- Perform skilled work in making mechanical/electrical repairs to plant equipment and systems.
- Work at heights over 150 feet, climb ladders, and lift 50+ pounds unassisted.
- Use cutting torch and stick welding as required.
- Work in extreme heat during furnace hot repair.
- Install, maintain, and repair electronics, PLCs, and machine controls plant wide.
- Repair and maintain plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, use laptops to diagnose, change, or install new programs.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment (starter repairs, motor replacements, photo‑eyes, inverters, special inspection equipment, carton machines, palletizers, batch & furnace equipment).
- Perform infrequent welding, brazing, cutting, and soldering as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment (voltage and amp meters), and shop tools.
- Cover vacations, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Become available for overtime and callouts.
- Follow all instructions given by management and be able to use respirator and all required PPE for batch house.
- Use shop equipment and work with oils and lubricants.
- Ensure work area remains clean with proper work methods and ethics.
- Maintain equipment such as single line, conveyors, case packers, palletizers, and related select & pack equipment.
- Set up and make changes to inspection equipment as required to maintain quality production.
- Be able to work a 7‑day shift rotation (8 hour shifts) with pattern 7A‑3P‑3P‑11P‑11P‑7A.
- Be able to start compressors, vacuum pumps, and related equipment after power failures.
• Journeyman Maintenance card holder, AAS in Electronics, or 5 years of tradesman training.
• Ability to pass Math and Mechanical Comprehension testing.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform welding, brazing, cutting, soldering.
• Ability to work in extreme heat, wear respirator, and use PPE.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, laptop diagnostics, and program installation.
• Experience interpreting schematics and repairing industrial equipment.
• Strong work ethic and ability to maintain clean work area.
Salary: $41.27/hour.
