Job Summary
Material Handlers are responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving product and shipping orders, ensuring they are processed, put away, picked, and shipped in a timely and secure manner. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks. You will be expected to work at a fast pace, be attentive to detail, willing to work hard with a good attitude, and be able to embrace change.
Material Handlers are given extensive training for success in their position and cross-training opportunities may be required. We offer on-site training and mentoring for all positions. SHIFT SCHEDULE & WAGE
- Monday-Thursday from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM
- Starting wage is $21.00/hr (which includes a $1.00/hr shift differential) and a potential of up to $0.88 in raises every 6 months
- Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
- Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
- Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
- Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure order accuracy, and operate the bundler system
- Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
- Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
- Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the distribution center
- Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
