Overview
Dove Science Academy HS-OKC is currently accepting applications for a 9th-12th Grade English Teacher with English experience. Bachelor's Degree is required.
Responsibilities- Prepare appropriate curriculum and annual plan to submit to administration for approval
- Instruct High school students in the subject of English
- Apply the curriculum as prepared and approved
- Maintain student records of attendance, discipline, growth, etc.
- Create and post lesson plans
- Assign and grade assessments
- Prepare and administer tests to evaluate students' progress
- Maintain discipline in the classroom
- Promote character in the school
- Issue reports to inform parents of progress
- Communicate regularly with parents to offer positive reinforcement regarding social and academic achievements of the students
- Additional Duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in English or ELA Education and 1 year of experience as English Teacher at middle or high school level. Teaching experience must be full-time as a teacher of record in a general education setting. Teachers with a current Oklahoma teaching certificate will receive priority consideration
