Position: Resource RN - Registered Nurse - Pre Op / PACU

Location

Surgery Center at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift

Full Time (36 hours/week) – 3 12‑hr shifts/week and every other weekend

Schedule

7 a–7 p

Overview

Interventional Resource Nurses utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. They perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure:
    Must obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or a compact licensure that meets all state board of nursing requirements
  • Experience:

    1 year of experience
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion of course within 30 days of hire
    • One or more of the following may be required based on the unit or required certification timeframe:
      • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
      • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
      • ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
      • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course
      • CPHON – Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse
      • OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse
      • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
      • PEARS – Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. – Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support
      • Six Assessment & Care Modules
      • C‑EFM – Fetal Monitor Certification
      • Other unit-specific certifications as required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs regularly
    • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
    • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
