Hybrid Web Chat Agent

Overview

We are seeking customer-focused and detail-oriented professionals to join our Automotive Chat Support team. In this role, you will provide real-time online assistance to consumers throughout their vehicle purchasing journey. The ideal candidate is an excellent written communicator who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This position supports prospective buyers with new and used vehicle sales inquiries and basic service appointment questions through online chat. This is a sales support and customer engagement role, not a general customer service position.

• Assist customers with questions related to the vehicle purchase process.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through professional and engaging online chat interactions.
• Provide proactive support regarding vehicle availability, dealer locations, products, and promotions.
• Accurately respond to customer inquiries about vehicle features, benefits, incentives, and special offers.
• Identify opportunities to capture sales leads and support dealership sales efforts.
• Make recommendations that enhance customer satisfaction and improve the buying experience.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while serving as a brand ambassador.
• Document interactions accurately and efficiently within company systems.
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong reading comprehension and written communication skills.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally through chat and email.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

• Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience supporting customers in a high-service environment such as retail, hospitality, technology, or e-commerce.
• Previous experience in chat support, contact centers, call centers, or customer support environments.
• Familiarity with automotive sales or dealership operations is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
