Partify Inc. is a fast growing e-commerce company specializing in painted automotive parts. We are seeking a detail oriented Cost Accountant to support our finance and operations teams by analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory, and financial performance. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product costing, monitoring inventory transactions, analyzing cost variances, and providing financial insights that support operational decision making.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and collaborative, with experience in manufacturing or inventory based accounting. This role will work closely with operations, procurement, inventory, and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability as the company continues to grow.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and analyze product costs, including materials, labor, freight, and overhead.
Monitor inventory transactions and ensure inventory valuations remain accurate.
Analyze manufacturing and purchasing cost variances, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to inventory and cost accounting.
Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and accounting records.
Support inventory cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory control initiatives.
Partner with operations and procurement teams to improve cost visibility and operational efficiency.
Develop reports and financial analyses that support pricing, profitability, and business planning.
Assist in maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and product cost structures.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities related to manufacturing and inventory.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting.
Experience analyzing product costs, inventory variances, and manufacturing expenses.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with ERP systems or accounting software is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced, high growth environment.
