Adecco Permanent Recruitment is supporting a confidential search for a Senior Tax Analyst with a well-established organization in Oakland County, MI.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys a mix of tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and process improvement. The Senior Tax Analyst will work closely with accounting, finance, legal, operational teams, and external advisors while supporting both recurring tax responsibilities and broader tax-related projects.
The position will have meaningful exposure to quarterly and annual tax provision work, federal and state income tax compliance, fixed assets, tax-related accounting entries, and cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and support quarterly and annual income tax provision work under ASC 740
- Assist with federal and state income tax return preparation and review
- Support fixed asset tax reporting and depreciation calculations
- Prepare tax-related journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist with sales and use tax and property tax matters
- Support tax audits, notices, and information requests
- Work with internal and external teams on tax reporting and compliance matters
- Help improve tax processes, reporting timelines, and internal workflows
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives within the tax function
- Assist with special projects and tax-related analysis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance
- Experience preparing tax-related journal entries and reconciliations
- Comfortable working with external advisors and cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Partnership tax exposure is helpful
- International tax exposure is a plus
- Experience with tax reporting or ERP platforms is helpful
- Exposure to process improvement, automation, or tax technology initiatives
- Broad exposure across tax accounting, provision, compliance, and reporting
