Building Department Clerical Internship

The Charter Township of Shelby Township Building Department seeks a Clerical Intern. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $16.01/hour, with no benefits. Qualified Candidates must be enrolled in college to be considered for this position.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills to respond to questions from Residents and Builders and demonstrate an ability to adjust to changes in schedule and demands while understanding the importance of customer service.

Duties include answering phones, greeting customers at the counter, filing, preparing documents for the scanning process, and scanning documents into a data retention program.

Interested candidates must be available to work approximately 20-30 hours a week, between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
