We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic team as a Licensing Contracts Administrator
. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization’s intellectual property, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing directly to the success of key strategic initiatives. Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to innovate and expand its market reach, working with specific product categories.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage the development of new agreements and the renewal of existing ones with licensees, ensuring all deadlines are met to prevent unintended expirations.
- Act as a key interface, coordinating agreements and collaborating closely with internal legal teams.
- Gather and interpret complex data to support strategic decision‑making and agreement management.
- Handle a variety of non‑recurring special assignments, demonstrating adaptability and problem‑solving skills.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of licensing strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly status presentations for senior leadership.
- Lead project management efforts, including meticulous budget management, for licensing initiatives.
- Maintain frequent contact and build strong relationships with internal work groups and external industry stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage the efficient delivery of intellectual property to licensees.
- Oversee and ensure the compliance of licensees with agreement terms.
- Draft, develop, and manage licensing agreements with external partners, demonstrating strong knowledge of contract structure, language, and requirements.
- Partner cross‑functionally with project managers and finance teams to support licensing activities.
- Participate in and contribute to cross‑functional meetings.
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional ability to read, understand, and interpret complex contracts and agreements.
- Proven capability to manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Above‑average verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to deliver impactful presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the independent aftermarket sector.
- High level of analytical ability, adept at solving unusual and difficult problems.
- Understanding of intellectual property licensing practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements for service and parts information.
- Knowledge of relevant industry association standards for the aftermarket sector.
- Experience with aftermarket (or similar) licensing.
- Familiarity with service and parts specific file formats within the sector.
- Experience working within the licensing space, with a focus on particular product lines.
- Experience with in the relevant industry sector.
