* per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.

Join the Shire of Dardanup’s Development Services team and play an important role in supporting positive development outcomes across our growing region. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to achieving practical, fair and compliant outcomes.

You will work closely with residents, developers and internal stakeholders to provide guidance, investigate compliance matters, and support solutions that balance regulatory requirements with community needs.

• Investigate and respond to planning and development compliance matters across the Shire
• Provide clear, practical advice to residents and stakeholders to support compliance outcomes
• Educate and assist the community in understanding development requirements and approvals
• Prepare reports, recommendations and supporting documentation in line with legislation and policies
• Undertake site inspections and respond to complaints in a proactive and professional manner
• Issue notices and manage compliance actions in accordance with statutory requirements
• Work collaboratively across teams and with external agencies to achieve balanced outcomes

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret legislation
• Excellent communication skills to educate, influence and resolve outcomes
• Customer-focused, with a collaborative and community-minded approach
• Strong investigative, analytical and time management skills, with LG experience desirable
