Talent Woo is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Residential Plumbing/HVAC Estimator to join a well-established Northern Michigan mechanical contractor known for designing and installing systems in luxury custom homes and waterfront estates.

These aren't repetitive production homes.

Every project is custom, every set of plans is different, and every estimate requires thoughtful planning and mechanical expertise.

This opportunity is based in the Traverse City area. Although housing within Traverse City itself can be expensive, many employees live in nearby communities offering a more affordable cost of living and a manageable commute.
Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and specifications.
• Attend builder meetings and preconstruction walkthroughs.
• Prepare estimates for custom residential plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Design and lay out mechanical systems.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and builders to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Residential plumbing or HVAC estimating experience.
• Experience with custom homes strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, hydronics, radiant heat, snowmelt systems, and duct design is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Construction Management or related education is a plus.
• Base salary plus performance incentives
• Typical earnings of $100,000–$150,000+
