Position Overview
We are seeking a Design System Designer to help build, evolve, and maintain a scalable design system that supports digital experiences across web, mobile, and emerging product platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys systems thinking, component design, documentation, and creating reusable assets that enable teams to work more efficiently and consistently.
Working closely with cross-functional design and development teams, you will contribute to the creation, maintenance, governance, and adoption of a robust component ecosystem that drives consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design system team members and cross-functional partners to build and maintain a scalable design system.
  • Create, update, QA, and manage components, patterns, design tokens, and grid systems within Figma.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for components, including usage guidelines, interaction behaviors, accessibility considerations, states, and implementation requirements.
  • Partner with designers and developers to support design system adoption and answer component-related questions.
  • Contribute to governance processes that ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across the design system ecosystem.
  • Support implementation of reusable design solutions across multiple digital platforms and experiences.
  • Help define and maintain assets that reduce duplication, improve efficiency, and accelerate product delivery.
  • Continuously improve documentation standards, workflows, and design system processes.
  • Assist with component library maintenance, auditing, and quality assurance efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in UI design, product design, UX systems, or design systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working within Figma-based design systems, including creating, updating, QA'ing, and maintaining component libraries.
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, libraries, design tokens, and documentation workflows.
  • Experience creating and maintaining clear, scalable documentation for components, patterns, and design system assets.
  • Strong understanding of design system fundamentals, including component architecture, variants, design tokens, grids, accessibility, and cross-platform implementation.
  • Experience documenting interaction behaviors, component states, usage guidelines, and implementation considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both designers and developers to support design system adoption and usage.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design system contributions, systems thinking, component architecture, and documentation expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience documenting and maintaining large-scale design systems and component libraries.
  • Exposure to design system governance models and adoption strategies.
  • Experience supporting implementation efforts across both design and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with design-to-development workflows and front-end development concepts.
  • Experience working on complex product ecosystems that span multiple platforms or devices.
  • Portfolio examples highlighting reusable component design, documentation frameworks, and scalable system thinking.
What You'll Bring
  • A passion for creating scalable systems that improve product quality and team efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines.
  • Interest in accessibility, usability, and creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • A proactive approach to improving processes, documentation, and team workflows.
