About the Role:

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position in Romulus, Michigan. This role involves working in a self-contained classroom with K-2 students who have Autism and Cognitive Impairments. You will lead a classroom with 12 students and collaborate closely with 2 paraprofessionals to provide individualized support and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to students with Autism and cognitive impairments.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure effective support and classroom management.
• municate regularly with parents, school staff, and other professionals to coordinate support and track student progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with young students with Autism and Cognitive Impairments is preferred.
• Strong organizational, munication, and classroom management skills.
