Position:
Dental Assistant – Instructor (Part‑time, mornings & evenings)

We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors to teach scheduled year‑round morning and evening classes, and to serve as a primary scheduled instructor or a secondary instructor stepping in as needed. Classes run Monday–Friday 8:30–1:00 and Monday–Thursday 5:30–10:00.
Responsibilities- Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10–20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Learn the material and deliver lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Lead class sessions of 4.5 hours in either daytime or evening sessions.
- Work part‑time, typically 9–22.5 hours per week, with additional PRN hours if desired.

Qualifications- 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB); formal training in a dental assisting program is preferred. If no formal education, 5+ years’ experience with a national certification may qualify.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience.
- Must be flexible and passionate about learning and growth.
- Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods, move around the building and classroom, and facilitate student participation.
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use whiteboard, and use classroom/office equipment.
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records.
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames.
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor.
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum is preferred.
- Perform related work as required.
