• Deliver high-quality, self-contained special education instruction to elementary students
• Collaborate with school staff and specialists to develop tailored learning plans
• Manage classroom behavior and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Engage students with dynamic and inclusive teaching methods
• Document student progress and communicate with parents and staff effectively

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or equivalent
• Valid Michigan State Teaching Certification in Elementary and Special Education
• Minimum 1 year experience in a school setting specializing in self-contained special education classrooms
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Background check and compliance with district policies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability
• Willingness to work in a school environment with physical activity and potential student supervision
